The colonists would not be angry with Great Britian over not earning money in North America, that was never the problem. I remember reading about the brewing rage in the colonies and nothing was ever mentioned about not earning cash. The quartering of British troops, having to pay high taxes and not having direct representation however were the reasons they were angry at the British, which ultimately lead to the American Revolution. I'm literally taking an American History class and we just got through this about a month or so ago.
