It will decrease as glycolysis has stopped so no new pyruvate is produced and the H+ and NADH are being used in the later stages of respiration while not getting replenished.
When glycolysis is stopped by 2-deoxyglucose ;
- The concentration of pyruvate will decrease
- NADH and H⁺ are used up without replacement
Glycolysis is the stage/process in cellular respiration where a molecule of glucose is converted into two(2) molecules of pyruvate, hydrogen ions and water molecules respectively. also the synthesizing of ATP and NADH takes place at this stage of cellular respiration as well.
