Water, carbon dioxide, glucose and oxygen are some of the molecules that can pass through the cell membrane of the cell by the process of diffusion while on the other hand, large molecules such as sugars and proteins can't enter inside the cell due to their large size.

The cell has semipermeable membrane which has small pores.
