Just think of it, if America is fighting Germany and there are German people in America, wouldn’t you be mean to them because they are the enemy.
African Americans have always faced segregation and racism far before the WW1 and WW2.
Italian immigrants were not the main target of America because during WW2 the Italian army didn’t do much damage. They were easily taken by the British soldiers
And Anglo-Saxon troops wouldn’t be segregated because they were Americans fighting for America.
