The story is written in a first-person point of view (where the narrator uses "I" and tells story from his own words). How would the story be different if it was told from a third-person point of view like "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" or "The Pit & The Pendulum"?
You wouldn’t have the inner thoughts or feelings from the main character, so it could give insight to more situations outside of the main characters POV.
