It is different because in the 1800’s there were no medics, or nurses that were skilled enough to cure or help military soldiers who were injured. The military now since technology has taken over it’s much more convenient compared to the 1800’s where they didn’t have a good communication server ( they had to use mail which would take several days to deliver to loved ones, now we have phones so we can shoot a text)
