A pretty stereotypical expectation that comes with being female is that all females can cook well and love to cook when that is not the reality. Some females can cook greatly, but hate it. Some females cook awfully but enjoy trying. Another stereotypical expectation that comes with being female is that all females love to clean and do it all the time. In reality, females are just like many males. Some females are really messy and hate cleaning. It just depends on who they are as a person.
A stereotypical expectation that comes with being male is that males are supposed to be outside (chopping wood, getting dirty, etc) when in reality some males hate being outside and would much rather be inside and stay clean. Another stereotypical expectation that people expect from males is that all males like to play/watch sports. Some males do not enjoy sports and would much rather do gentler stuff. For example, painting or dancing.

Being a female previously would be that you are good at domestic duties, and being a male would be that you have a little knowledge of them, but these are changing now.
Gender has played a lot of role in how people view both ladies and gentlemen. Most ladies are viewed by the family and friends as someone that should be able to keep the home nice and cook while guys aren't expected much than to provide for their families but all these narratives are changing as the world is developing to have men also do the house chores.
Today, we have females leading organizations just as males, so, expectations are changing from what they used to be. The expectations before were;
-> The ladies would know about domestic duties(even if they aren't interested
-> The males would know little and just be relegated to difficult activities or chores
Now, we have;
-> Both male and females being expectant of doing chores
-> Many females going into discipline that was just for men alone previously.
Times have changed, so is what is expected from males and female peers, what used to be is no longer as they are so many developments today, what a man can do, a woman can and vice versa.
