Solution :

Since , no external force is applied , so momentum will remains same :

Momentum of group of objects ,

[tex]M = mv_1^2+mv_2^2\\\\M = 0.25\times 2^2+0.25\times 0\\\\M=1 \ kg \ m/s[/tex]

Therefore , momentum of the system is 1 kg m/s.

Hence , this is the required solution.
