Simplify 40×2 to 80

80−[tex] \frac{8}{12} [/tex]

 Simplify
[tex] \frac{238}{3} [/tex]

Example 2.
40*(2 -8/12)

Simplify

40(2-[tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex])
which is 40 x [tex] \frac{4}{3} [/tex]

Simplify once more and your answer is [tex] \frac{160}{3} [/tex]
