It was a cool brisk morning in Chicago as Derek was driving to school for his first day of his senior year of high school. As he was headed to pick up a few friends, flashes of lights and vibrant colors filled the rearview mirror. The squawk of what seemed like a siren or ear-piercing horn froze him as he tried to remain calm and cautiously pull over. After he pulled over an ambulance went flying past him. Derek followed the ambulance and it led him to his best friends house! Derek rushed inside to find his friend lying on the floor. He asked his friend's mom, Mrs. Jackson, what had happened. She said that due to her son's terrible health condition he had a seizure, and he would need to be taken to the hospital immediately. "This is a terrible way to start off my senior year," Derek said.
