y=mx+b

y=mx-2

5=2m-2

7=2m

m=3.5

Equation: y=3.5x-2

Perpendicular lines have slopes that are the opposite of the reciprocal of each other.

so -1/3.5=-2/7

Equation: y=-2/7x-2
