Henry Ford constructs the first moving assembly line for the mass manufacturing of an entire vehicle on December 1, 1913. His invention cut the time it took to construct the car in half, from more than 12 hours to a little over an hour and a half.
The invention of the moving assembly line decreased the number of people needed and sped up the process of building the automobile. Additionally, it increased the company's control over the pace.

Workers didn't have to waste time moving around because the job was delivered to them immediately.
