Greek heroes are not perfect. They have flaws as everyone does. In Greek stories, the hero's major flaw is usually the one that results in his or her downfall. What is most likely Achilles' major flaw? Use evidence from the story and explain how you think this flaw led to problems for him in life.

The other interpretation is Achilles tragic flaw was the pride which caused him to withdraw from the fighting. This led to the death of Patroclus, one of the few human beings that Achilles seemed to love. So his physical flaw was his heel, his character flaw was pride.
