Why did Constantine move the capital of the Roman Empire to Byzantium?

The city had an excellent harbor and defenses.
Byzantium was farther away from Africa and Asia.
Byzantium needed improvements more than Rome did.
The emperor was attempting to stop the spread of Christianity.
