I have decided to work hard every month at the soup kitchen. This will improve my community because my local soup kitchen serves meals to many people who wouldn’t have eaten otherwise. I want to help my community because I have been already blessed with so much. I have food, clothes, and a roof over my head. Many of those who attend the soap kitchen cannot say the same. For this reason, I want to continue to give back to the community because I am so privileged and the people in this area deserve everything I can give, including my time at the kitchen, serving them, and helping them cook. So many people want to help their community but they never get started, I want to do this not only to better myself but to see people happy and fed, everyone deserves that. If I can help in any way I feel like it is my civil duty to do so. Soup kitchens are very much understaffed and undervalued. They save lives and feed bellies, I want to be apart of that helping of others. I love my community, and they don’t deserve to go hungry.
