Water had a very important meaning in the poem. The author connects amphibians life with immigrants. For example, a frog lives both on land and water. When a frog goes on land it has to adapt to its surrounding and the place, similarly when it goes in water it was to adapt with the water in order to survive. Comparably, when immigrants go to new a country they have to adapt to the new living situations. The immigrants have to leave their land hardening in the sea out of water.
