Exposition: Nine year old, Bruno, and his family (Mother, Father, and the Maids and Butlers) are moving from Belin to Out-With due to Father’s new job.
Rising Action: Bruno dislikes the new home and wants to move back where his friends and old home are.Bruno goes exploring one day.
Climax: Bruno finds a little boy, Shmuel on the other side of the fence.Bruno and Shmuel spend the next year visiting each other in the same spot everyday
Falling Action: Shmuel can’t find his father and asks Bruno to help him find him. Shmuel brings Bruno striped pajamas to disguise him and Bruno crawls under the fence to help Shmuel find his father.
Resolution: Shmuel and Bruno get mixed up with some people marching and die in the concentration camp.Bruno’s family looked for him, but never found him only his clothing on their side of the fence.
