In order to prevent the bonding of enzymes to the substrate in his test solution, he should  : ad an inhibitor solution
Using competitive or non competitive inhibitor would prevent/slow down enzyme substrate complex

hope this helps

The answer is enzyme inhibitor.

In a normal enzymatic reaction, an enzyme binds to the active site present on the substrate to form an enzyme-substrate complex that results into product. But when an enzyme inhibitor is added to the substrate, the inhibitor disrupts the normal reaction. Thus inhibitor does not form an enzyme-substrate complex and hence prevent the formation of product. Thus, an inhibitor molecules to be added to the test solution to prevent the bonding of enzymes to the substrate.
