Suppose we have 2 fair 6-sided dice numbered from 1 to 6. If we roll them both, what is the probability that the two numbers shown sum to 7?
take the number of how many sides there are in this case 12 and in this case how many 7s there in this case 2 so that would be 2/12 but if it needs to be in simplest form it would be 1/6
