I think the help you are needed is about the conclusions right? So according to your statements and procedures i came up with the following conclusions: 
1. When you read the formula, the geochemistry may not be correct but the liaisons would be correct. For example H2O could be linear or bent. 2. They are similar where the number of liaisons/bonds are being used. 3. The models may help when finding how the molecules would react with others, also the polarity.
