Before 9/11, many airports and different traveling areas were less secure. There were no checks to see if you had weapons, and it was easier to hack into networks, and other reinforcements. After the 9/11 attack, (Brief summary: Many airplanes were hijacked and the twin towers were hit with many U.S. airplanes. Many died :c) people were shocked at how easy it was to get onto an airplane with the explosives and guns that they had, so they reinforced airports — now having medal detectors and not allowing weapons on board planes (for obvious reasons).
