Potential acute health effects:


the Contact with this chemical liquid is corrosive and may cause severe burns and ulceration in eyes, skin, in digestive and respiratory tract.



Potential chronic health effects : erosion of teeth, dermatitis,bleeding of nose and gums, Chronic bronchitis and gastritis.



First aid measures for ingestion:
If you swallowed thsi chemical , do never try to induce vomiting. Get medical aid immediately. Never give anything by mouth if the person is unconscious.  



Flammability of the hydrochloric acid: 0
Identify 3 chemicals that produce a potentially dangerous reaction with hydrochloric acid: Acetic anhydride AgClO + CCl4 Alcohols + hydrogen cyanide,  , 2-Amino ethanol, Ammonium hydroxide
List the personal protection when working with the chemical:



-Wear chemical splash goggles and face shield.



-Wear appropriate gloves to prevent skin exposure.



-Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.



-Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced.



How to handle small spills:  Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions. Isolate area and deny entry. Provide ventilation. Spill may be carefully neutralized with lime (calcium oxide, CaO).
