Well Germany's fascist state led to them becoming a force to be reckon with. After the First World War Germany was massive punished and Hitler managed to reverse this effect on Germany. He built its well known autobahn and re armed the country and even took over parts of Europe that belong to Germany before the war. Hitlers idea of the state being over the people was why Germany was a force to beckon with. He filled the people with the ideology of ethnonationalism where Germany belongs to Germans only. As we saw his country prosper better than any other European country at that time. The self pride in their country help fueled their victories in the beginning. Before the war started Hitler had already United what most of former Germany.
The best analysis of the effect of totalitarianism to the War efforts of Germany is that this was very effective for the Germans because they were able to quickly recover from the WWI loss.
