To find out what fractions are equivalent to 1/2 you would take 1/2 and times the numerator and denominator by the same number.
1/2*2/2= 2/4
2/4=1/2
1/2*9/9= 9/18
9/18=1/2
2/4 and 9/18 both equal 1/2
