the temperature of the gas is proportional to the average kinetic energy of its molecules. Faster moving particles will collide with the container walls more frequently and with greater force. This causes the force on the walls of the container to increase and so the pressure increases.

Hello there!

As we know, there are two types of relationships in chemistry in terms of temperature:

  • Direct - temperature & pressure and temperature & volume
  • Inverse - pressure & volume

With this said, the relationship between temperature and pressure is direct. This means that as the temperature of a gas increases, the pressure will also increase.

I hope I helped!
