Fordism was responsible form the introduction work structure into the system, it gave workers boring and repetitive tasks. It was inspired by Taylorism which was an earlier phenomenon that had effected the working conditions of workers of US.
It led to an increase in productivity in the overall work but it did not translate to profit in terms of salary for the lower class as they were now kept as low skill workers who had to do very mundane jobs.
The increase in productivity did not benefit low-qualified workers as they did not see their wages raise thanks to it.
