The meaning of life has been alluding the great minds of the species since the time immemorial and have only led to more thought and more tribulations on a question that ends up being answered by whatever the person asking the question believes is true.
But as far as the question regards the biology of existence of life on earth, it is pretty clear that life exists so as to procreate and make more life, and in turn the will to live in the animals and humans trumps all other things except when it comes to sacrifice for the species.
