Most people may say that this only applies to non-renewable resources; However, the reality of now versus then is that even renewable resources like water are beginning to become limited in some regions. For example, the people of Texas can get water by turning on the tap(aka faucet), but that does not mean they can drink it as "Lead, radiation, and arsenic are among the top pollutants, partly due to old pipes and water systems, and partly because of contamination spills directly into waterways."
