An operating system is a program that controls and manages hardware and other softwares on a computer/electronics. Operating systems also supports a computer’s basic functions. Adobe Photoshop, internet explorer, and Microsoft word don’t exactly manage the hardware of computer and they are not necessary for the computer to work.
