I am writing to inform you about the misuse of the drainage system provided by the government for public convenience.
Recently from my observation, people tend to throw waste on the surface of the drainage system, thereby causing blockage and flood during the rainy season. The government has provided the community with an appropriate method to dispose of waste but people still choose to do otherwise. Also, taps have been provided for public use and the surroundings of the same have been left unkempt.
I believe the best way to curb this misconduct is to attach a fine, so defaulters have to pay for their acts and this should set everyone on the right track.
