use t=-b+/-√b²-4ac÷2a

t= -288+/-√288²-4(-16)(6)÷2a

2+/-√2580=0

2+√2580= 53 seconds 2-√2580= 49 seconds

the arrow will hit the ground after 53 seconds or 49 seconds
