Dear Maya, 2/11/20
Would you like to come over on May 5th? My family and I are going to a Cinco De Mayo festival! We would all love to have an extra family member over. My mother has a new recipe she would like an un-biased opinion for! All of my little cousins have heard wonderful stories about you, and would love to hear more, from you! There is so much food that we wouldn't know what to do with it! You can bring some leftovers to you family after the celebration. At the festival there will tons of games, party food, and many of my family members. My mother’s say you can bring two more people of your choice. Just make sure they are on their best behavior. There will be contests, such as a pie eating contest, a hot dog eat contest, races, etc. Unfortunately, I cannot pick you up, but I can drop you off. If that is okay with your parent to drive you here? After the festivities my family and I have a special tradition that we would like to introduce you too. We all play outside then we go and give out some of our left overs to our neighbors. Mrs. Johnson, the woman across the street love my moms cooking so much, that SHE shows up to our doorstep every year on May 5th! Though I think it’s weird, my mom doesn’t mind. There will be so many kids and people for you to play with, with me. After I was wondering if your mom and dad would let you have a sleepover? I have a few movie options, popcorn packages, and flashlights for ghost stories! Some of my cousins will also be staying over, if you don’t mind. There are many snacks like, trail mix, cookies, pop tarts, pizza rolls. Of course, after we’re gonna exercise, to burn off all the food we just ate, so we’ll play at the park down the road on Horse St. If you’re tired by this time then you can go to sleep, or you can pull an all-nighter with the rest of us! With the crushed mailbox :) Since we still have school, my mom will make us study for exams so...if you don’t mind studying, you’re welcome to come to my house on May 5, Cinco De Mayo.
