Editing is a stage in the writing process in which we analyze and redesign our sentences. When editing, we carefully read each sentence, and identify its particular function in the text as a whole.
At this stage, we need to determine whether the connections between sentences are clear and whether the sentences are well structured. In doing so, dictionary would be most helpful.
We do not need an atlas or encyclopedia, as we do not normally check the validity of the information at this stage. Instead, we focus mainly on grammar and vocabulary choice. We analyze sentences on a grammatical level, and, if any doubts arise, we can consult a dictionary.
