HELP!
This right triangle has one leg with a length of 45 units and a hypotenuse with a length of 75 units. What is the length of the other leg, b? Pls help i have to find the length for b , i already worked on it but i cant seem to get something ryt pls help me :)

Respuesta :

The length of other leg b is 60 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length of leg a = 45 units

Length of hypotenuse = c = 75 units

Length of leg b is to find.

As the triangle is right angled, therefore, using pythagoras theorem

[tex]a^2+b^2=c^2\\(45)^2+b^2=(75)^2\\2025+b^2=5625\\b^2=5625-2025\\b^2=3600[/tex]

Taking square root on both sides

[tex]\sqrt{b^2}=\sqrt{3600}\\b=60[/tex]

The length of other leg b is 60 units.
