A solid metal ball and a hollow plastic ball of the same external radius are released from rest in a large vacuum chamber. When each has fallen 1 m, they both have the same:1. momentum.2. inertia.3. speed.4. change in potential energy.5. kinetic energy
Given that a solid metallic ball and a hollow plastic ball of same external radius are dropped in vacuum.
We can easily identify that the solid metallic ball will have more mass (hence weight) than the hollow ball of plastic. But since both the balls are falling in vacuum from the same height they will reach the ground at the same time and will bear the same speed at each of the corresponding point while falling.
Since momentum, inertia, change in potential energy & kinetic energy are dependent on mass therefore these quantities will have different values for both the balls.
