Explanation:
diffraction occurs when light passes around the edges of an object, it can be defined as the slight bending of light as it passes around the edges/ corners of an object/ obstacle. the amount of bending depends on the relative size of the wavelength of light to the aperture ( size of the opening). larger the opening of the object than the light's wavelength, lesser will be the bending ( diffraction).
