Money plays an important role in both "Federigo's Falcon" and Chaucer's "The Pardoner's Tale" (page 169). Compare Federigo's attitude toward money with that of the "three rioters" in Chaucer's tale. What do the characters' reactions reveal about their personalities?

Respuesta :

Answer:

Humane and Loving and Greedy and Criminals

Explanation:

In Federigo's Falcon, Federigo spent all his money to get the love of Monna Giovanna. He, maybe out of sheer foolishness out of love, sacrificed all his wealth for a lady's love. This sacrifice turned Federigo a humble, poor farmer to spend his days with his dear Falcon. In Chaucer's The Pardoner's Tale, the three rioters are greedy and criminal lots; their greed for money ignited them to kill each other and in the end all the three died. While Federigo has a big heart i spending money, even sacrificing his dearest Falcon for the love and honor of Giovanna, three rioters were killed when the two of them hatched a conspiracy while the one who went to fetch food planned the death of the two. In Federigo's case, the hero got the return he craved for and in Pardoner's Tale three of them were paid fittingly for their greed. While Federigo is humane and humble, the three rioters are greedy criminals.
