Both men were trying to control the future, as they feared Caesar's growing influence and power was a threat to the stability of the Roman Republic. Walter is highly obsessed with being a successful entrepreneur and having all the money he could hope for to give his future stability and safety. Walter in near vain, fails to accumulate his desired wealth and becomes shackled to his lofty ambitions throughout A Raisin in the Sun.
