The Muslims base their faith on the five pillars of Islam, where one of them is a one-month fast during the year, the Ramadan. During this fast, food and drinks are forbidden during the day, allowed with the first dusk.  Also, praying five times a day when the believers turn towards Mecca, wherever they are, is one of the pillars. In addition, every Muslim who is wealthy or has opportunities should once in his lifetime take pilgrimages to Mecca, which is considered to be the holiest site of Islam. Of course, if possible. According to Qur'an, Muslims are obliged to accommodate everyone, offer food and drink, help in trouble.
