Parallel structure is the repetition of structure/words; therefore because the first clause says "as much on whom one knows" you have to change your to one's to fit the structure and language of the original pattern.

Parallel structure or parallelism is the use of words that are of the same meter, word structure to avoid faulty parallelism where the words are distorted.

As a result of this, we can see that for us to correct the error, we have to make sure that the word structures remains consistent throughout. This was done by changing "have knowledge" to "having knowledge"
