Assume Hulian's age as H and Thomas's age as T,
Given, Huilan's age is two times Thomas's age [tex]\Rightarrow H=2T \rightarrow (1)[/tex]
The sum of their ages is 45 [tex]\Rightarrow H+T=45 \rightarrow (2)[/tex]
On substituting (1) in (2) we get, [tex](H=2T)[/tex]
[tex]2T+T=45[/tex]
On adding the common terms,
