Area of the circle is πr² which corresponds to an angle of 360° subtended at the center. Thus, the area of a sector subtending angle [tex]\theta[/tex] at the centre is:

[tex] Area= \frac{\theta}{360}\times \pi r^2[/tex]

In this case put $\theta$ equal to 30°
