I am against straws because they are plastic it’ll end up in the ocean and because it’s plastic so it won’t decay and cause ocean pollution.

So you might be wondering why are straws bad? Well plastic never breaks down and it is causing a serious problem to animals like turtles. They are eating the straws and it can harm them badly because it blocks the turtles airway.
Straws contain BPA so it can’t be recycled. A big company, Starbucks wanted to help with this so now most of there drinks don’t contain straws unless the customer asks for them.
If you want to help the environment then you can use alternative to plastic straws like reusable stainless steal straws and straws made from bamboo or paper because those can be recycled.
