Answer:
The widely held assumption: men have to provide for his family, so therefore he is responsible for the greatest part of the income of the household. Women are caregivers, so they usually take care of the sick men and child in the house.
Explanation:
Biologically thinking, it is common for animal species for males to hunt and collect food while the woman stays with the childs and take care of them from predators. In a feminist way of thinking, women are not naturally caring and should not stay at home, also because they are just as responsible for paying the house expense's. Thinking in a sociological way, society reafirms this posture of the men going out to work, specially because women are mothers, what makes it difficult for them to find jobs that respect their time to breastfeed and care for that child, and for men they have basically no time off the job to stay with the new born. To find gender equality, both of them should have a good amount of time off to take care of the baby equally, and women shouldn't face judgments for companies employers just because they have a child or potentially could have a baby at anytime.
