Well it was a tea company completely owned by Britain. And the tea had really high taxes on it. And Britain only allowed that tea company because they could charge high taxes on it. American wanted No taxation without representation. PLS GIVE ME BRAINIEST
The American colonists were opposed to the East India Tea Company because they did not believe in taxing. Tea was very popular and they hated being taxed on it, along with many other things. They believed taxation was unfair as they did not have a say in British parliament, yet were being taxed. This ties in with the famous saying "taxation without representation".
