Respuesta :

1. power produced through the decomposition or burning of plants and/or organic waste  - a. biomass energy

The biomass energy is a power that is produced by using plants and organic waste, by burning or decomposing them. This is a type of energy that is renewable, and while it is not an energy that is not releasing greenhouse gasses, it still is much more ecological than the fossil fuels. Some countries in the world have invested a lot on this type of production, with Brazil being the leader in both production and usage of the biomass energy.

2. a plan in which the government makes all the basic economic decisions  - e. economic system

The economic system is the plan in which the government is making all of the basic economic decisions in the country. The government and how it will set up the economic system are crucial for what type of economy will a country have. Depending on the political views of the government, the economic systems can range anywhere from free-market economies to command economies. Even though the government sets the basis of the economy, if it is establishing a free-market economy then the government will have no influence on the market, but if it is a command economy, then the government is setting itself as the only economic power in the country that controls all the production and sales.

3. a government policy that attempts to restrict the access of its population to outside culture  - b. cultural divergence

The cultural divergence is a process through which a cultural group gets isolated from the other cultural groups. This kind of situation is created by the governments, mostly where there are dictators in power. There's two purposes of this policy, one being to preserve the native culture, and the other is to isolate the people from outside influences in order to rule more easily by keeping them in ignorance. Unfortunately, even in the modern world there are such nations, with the likes of North Korea and Turkmenistan being prime examples of it.

4. the contact and interaction of culture groups  - c. cultural convergence

The cultural convergence is a process through which two or more cultural groups have constant contact and interactions between themselves. Over time, this process leads to all the cultural groups that are involved to share, use, adopt cultural traits from each other, gradually making their cultures more and more similar to a point where they are indistinguishable. This process has both negative and positive sides. The negative side of it is that all the cultures involved will lose part of the cultural heritage over time. The positive side is that part of the cultures will be preserved at larger mass of people, as well a s bringing the people closer thus avoiding any conflict situation and having better understanding and collaboration.

5. the process whereby one culture adopts traits of another culture - d. cultural diffusion

The cultural diffusion is process through which one culture spreads around and starts to influence other cultures. When this happens, the culture that spreads around imposes itself as dominant, more practical, more interesting. The people from the other cultures quickly adopt cultural traits from the new culture, but they do not manage to preserve their own culture, nor do they manage to spread traits of their culture on the culture they are adopting. This is a very bad process because it is endangering the thousands of different cultures around the world, especially the smaller ones which are brought on the verge of extinctions. The positive is that the people adopt a common culture, so they can understand each other better, collaborate, share ideas, and communicate with people from all over the world.
