Usually when you want to help someone who is sad constantly, try by being there for them. Many people are foodies so try bringing them their favorite candy/food, it could cheer them up. Letting them know that you care is very big. Just try your best to not push their buttons too hard! :)
you can help them by finding a safe place for them to vent. Telling their parents can be one option if they are understanding enough. Taking them to a therapist is another option so they can feel safe and have someone to talk to
