Civil disobedience is a term which is a form of protest that means to disobey any rule,law imposed to the citizen by the oppressed government  or invader foreign power. Mohandas Gandhi also practiced this policy and non violent movement of protest against British Government . In 1930 British Government's salt caused this non violent civil disobedience movement by Gandhi. The law prohibited the Indian people to collect or sell salt from the see. The reason behind this law was to force the people to buy vital mineral from British. This was also an attempt to monopoly the business by the British.

As a result Mohandas Gandhi set out for march against this law towards Dandy. His march was the sign of civil disobeying in a non violent way. When he reached to Dandy the march was already joined by 10000 people.

This Salt march is one of the significant event of civil disobedience.
