Crunch! You bite into the sweet fruit. You take another bite until you eat the whole thing. Ahhh the apple. The Apple is an amazing and majestic fruit. An Apple is sweet, edible fruit produced by an apple tree. Apple trees are cultivated worldwide and are the most widely grown species in the genus Malus. The tree originated in Central Asia, where its wild ancestor, Malus sieversii, is still found today. Apples were introduced to (us) North America by colonists in the 17th century, The first apple orchard on the North American continent was planted in Boston by Reverend William Blaxton in 1625. The fruit doesn't just tatse and look delicious it also has a neat history behind it aswell!
Apple was invented in the garage of electronics expert Steve Wozniak in collaboration with his friend Steve Jobs who was in charge of marketing Woz's new machine. The Apple I computer was revolutionary because it made computing technology available to home users. The Apple II computer that came later dominated the education sector. Schools all across the country adopted the Apple model of computing as a tool for learning. The real innovation in Apple came with the introduction of the Macintosh computer as revealed in the famous 1984 super bowl commercial. The main competitor to Apple computers at that time was the IBM PC and its clones. The Mac computer was different because it had a graphical interface that IBM machines lacked. Eventually the IBM style of computing caught up with the introduction of Microsoft Windows software, but it took a long time for these machines to rival the ease of use and user-friendliness of the original Apple Macintosh.
