If not for the women a lot of things could have gone badly for the United States. Women helped in ways that men could not. They knew that if they didn't step in that the United States would have lost the battle because they saved hundreds of men's lives by just helping the wounded on the battlefield. They also did many other things that would help the men out through the rest of the war.
